Unity Is Strength
Once upon a time, there was an old farmer in a village. He had three sons. They were illiterate. They used to argue with each other every day. This made the farmer very anxious. He wanted to teach them a lesson. So, one day, he asked his sons to bring some sticks and tie them in a bundle. He told them to break the bundle. None could break it. The father then got the bundle untied. At first, the father asked his youngest son to break the sticks one by one. This time, he did it quite easily. The other two sons were surprised to see it.
Now the father said, “If you live unitedly and attach to one another, nobody can harm you.” “If you live apart and are divided, people can easily injure you.” This time the sons realized the importance of unity and promised their father they would never quarrel again. Thus, the sons were taught the importance of unity.
